More photos have been added to the dinner and lunch pages, and some new photos from Friday’s spit braai have been added.

We’re busy adding up the final numbers and will be reporting soon on the amount donated to the school.

Thanks to Duncan Noble and Anton Weber, some photos are starting to roll in.  Please continue to send in photos and we’ll get them up on the site.  Here is what we have so far:

Ceremony of the Key

Friday lunch at Hamiltons Club

Saturday dinner at EL Golf Club

From Thursday night’s gathering at Old Boys (that kept going at various venues deep into the small hours of Friday morning), through to a slick Ceremony of the Key on Friday morning, and a very lengthy and liquid lunch at Hamiltons Club that merged into the OSA Spit Braai at the Whippet, and peaking with the formal class dinner at the EL Golf Club, the weekend went past in a blur for me.  The collective opinion seems to be that this was a huge success, and a big thank you must go to the hardy souls on the Core Committee (Anton Weber, Duncan Noble, Colin Beard, Derek Felton, Anthony Parker, Doug Hume, Jason Chambers, and his PA Leone Hunter – hope I haven’t left anyone out) for getting the events set up, memorabilia arranged, and generally making the weekend a huge success.

Photos have already started coming in, and these will go up onto the site as soon as possible this week.  I’ll knock up a brief report from my side, but please send in any short or long views from your own perspective, and they’ll all find a place somewhere here.

Let’s hope we can harness the passion and enjoyment of this weekend and encourage another good turnout in 5 years’ time.

Cheers
Dave

Everything is ready, we just need you to pitch up and have a good time.  Some small revisions have been made to some of the times, so check out the programme for the latest info.  A copy will also be handed out when you register.

Some questions have been coming in on dress code.  For the Ceremony of the Key the tradition has been Old Boys ties / blazers, but anything in that vague region will work.  For the Saturday dinner we’re going for formal(ish) – jacket and tie for the guys and whatever is equivalent for the ladies.  For all other events, casual / smart casual is probably the way to go.

The Ceremony of the Key will be streamed over the internet – more details will probably be on the College website eventually.

The 2nd bus party pictures are up – thanks Anthony Parker for delivering so quickly.

Sounds like Saturday’s bus party was another success, and there is a good chance that this time there will be photos and reports coming here soon. (But don’t be surprised if they don’t!)

The organisers are working madly on putting the finishing touches in place for a great weekend, starting this Thursday. A small selection of memorabilia items will be available for purchase on Thursday night and on Saturday night. More details here.
